As per the report, the total number of voters in Bangladesh is 119,689,289. Among them, 60,769,741 are men, and 58,918,699 have been identified as members of the Hijra community.
The electoral process is set to take place at 261,564 polling booths across 42,148 centers. The Election Commission has noted the participation of 1,970 candidates from 28 different political parties in this election.
A total of 299 constituencies are scheduled for polling this time. However, voting in the Naogaon-2 constituency has been suspended following the unfortunate demise of one of the candidates.
