Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in Dhaka experienced an extensive disruption of over eight and a half hours due to heavy fog. Consequently, six international flights were diverted to Sylhet and Chittagong airports during this period. Sources from the airport confirmed that flights originating from Sharjah, Muscat, Guangzhou, Doha, and Singapore had to land at alternative airports. Mohammad Kamrul Islam, the executive director of the airport, indicated that flight operations were halted from midnight until 8:30 am due to the adverse weather conditions, with operations resuming by 9 am.
