Bangladesh Railway announced the introduction of ‘Tourist Express’ trains on the Dhaka-Cox’s Bazar route, set to commence operations from January 10. The train’s itinerary includes a departure from Dhaka at 6:15 am, arriving in Cox’s Bazar by 3:00 pm, and returning from Cox’s Bazar at 8 pm, reaching Dhaka by 4:30 am. Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina sanctioned the train’s name, which will feature coaches recently imported from Korea. Covering a distance of 346 kilometres, the fare structure for this service remains consistent with previous offerings. Notably, services on this route resumed on December 1 of the previous year.
