In anticipation of the forthcoming 12th national parliamentary election, intensified security protocols have been instituted at several metro rail stations to mitigate potential vandalism and violence.
On Thursday, the Rapid Action Battalion (RAB-3) orchestrated a meticulous search operation aided by trained canine units at the Motijheel metro station. The primary objective, as delineated by RAB officials, revolves around bolstering security infrastructures at pivotal metro rail installations to preempt any nefarious activities.
Elaborating on the enhanced security measures, Lieutenant Colonel Arif Mohiuddin Ahmed, the commanding officer (Captain) of RAB-3, elucidated, “Our undercover operatives are strategically stationed across metro rail stations to ensure seamless surveillance. Concurrently, we perpetually engage in intelligence-gathering endeavors, fostering collaborative communication with metro rail authorities.”
Highlighting the routine nature of such security endeavors, Ahmed underscored, “The recent search operation at Motijheel metro station epitomizes our ongoing commitment to fortifying public safety. Rest assured, these proactive security measures will persist in the foreseeable future to uphold the sanctity of metro rail operations.”
