12th Parliamentary Election Security: 1,151 BGB Platoons Mobilized Nationwide

Ahead of the 12th parliamentary election slated for January 7, Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) has strategically deployed 1,151 platoons across the nation, encompassing the capital city. Shariful Islam, the Public Relations Officer (PRO) at BGB headquarters, emphasized the BGB’s commitment to ensuring a transparent, equitable, and peaceful electoral process. Acting as a dynamic and responsive force, the BGB aims to bolster the efforts of local civil administrations, focusing on upholding peace and stability in electoral regions nationwide, including Dhaka, from December 29, 2023, to January 10, 2024, under the ‘In Aid to the Civil Power’ mandate.
