In a chilling incident near Paris during the festive season, a heart-wrenching crime unfolded as a mother and her four young kids were tragically killed in Meaux, France.
On Christmas Day, the bodies of the family were discovered within their Meaux residence, as confirmed by both AFP and the Associated Press. The gruesome discovery led to the arrest of the 33-year-old father, who stands as the prime suspect in this devastating case.
The alarm was raised by concerned neighbors who noticed a disturbing pool of blood outside the family’s apartment. Following this, authorities unveiled the horrifying crime scene, as stated by prosecutor Jean-Baptiste Bladier. The 35-year-old mother and her two daughters, aged 7 and 10, suffered fatal stab wounds. In a heart-wrenching detail, the two boys, a 4-year-old and a 9-month-old infant, were either suffocated or drowned.
Echoing the community’s shock and grief, Meaux Mayor Jean-Francois Cope described the incident as “an absolute horror.” He emphasized the appalling nature of the crime, noting the brutal conditions under which the family met their tragic end.
