The Detective Branch (DB) of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) successfully apprehended the orchestrator linked to the explosive cocktail attack at Dhaka Metropolitan Sessions Judge’s Court on November 20.
The individual in custody, identified as Mukit alias Boma Maulana, was unveiled by Additional Commissioner Harunor Rashid during a press conference on Tuesday. Commissioner Rashid further elaborated that Mukit alias Boma Maulana stands as the principal figure behind the orchestrated assault, highlighting the recovery of significant bomb-making materials from his possession.
Recapping the incident, on November 20, a faction of perpetrators detonated a rudimentary bomb within the confines of the Dhaka court located in the heart of Old Dhaka. The explosion transpired around 4 pm subsequent to the bail proceedings of BNP Secretary General, Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir.
