On Sunday, a local court sanctioned a two-day remand for interrogation purposes for an individual apprehended for attempting unauthorized access to BNP leader Khaleda Zia’s hospital room at Evercare Hospital in Dhaka.
Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate, Farah Diba Chanda, made the decision after law enforcement sought a five-day remand for the suspect. Following deliberation, the magistrate approved a two-day custody for further questioning.
The individual, identified as Sujan, was apprehended on Saturday for his unauthorized attempt to access Khaleda Zia’s hospital room, subsequently handed over to the police by hospital staff.
Expressing grave concerns regarding this incident, BNP Senior Joint Secretary General, Advocate Ruhul Kabir Rizvi, conveyed the party’s apprehensions about the unauthorized attempt.
