The Dhaka International Trade Fair (DITF) is gearing up for its commencement in the middle of January at the renowned Bangabandhu Bangladesh-China Friendship Exhibition Center situated in Dhaka’s Purbachal region.
Highlighting the event’s schedule, a top official from the Commerce Ministry disclosed that the DITF will kick off between January 15 and 20, a slight delay from its usual January 1 start, primarily due to the upcoming national elections slated for January 7.
The official emphasized the government’s commitment to ensuring a serene and organized environment for attendees, affirming comprehensive preparations are underway.
Attendees can anticipate a diverse array of pavilions, including premium, mini, women-centric, international, and general pavilions, complemented by a selection of food stalls. Notably, this year’s fair promises an expanded scope compared to previous editions.
In terms of pricing adjustments, there’s a notable increment. For instance, the rental fee for the premium pavilion has been revised from Tk20 lakh to Tk22 lakh. Likewise, the charges for general stalls have risen from Tk3.50 lakh to Tk4 lakh, while reserved stalls will now cost Tk4.50 lakh. Additionally, the rental for mini pavilions has seen a significant surge, marking a 47% increase to Tk11 lakh.
Furthermore, attendees should note the revised entry fees: adults will now pay Tk50, whereas minors can enter with a Tk25 ticket.
